PTO Wood Splitter Will Save Your Back And Time

One of the great ways to gather timber or fire wood is with a pto wood splitter. So when you up on the grade you want to make each load as compact and full as you can safely transport with out any wasted spaces. Using a pto wood splitter you can quickly make uniform sections of wood that will fit on your truck very compactly and make the loads safer to transport down the grade.

Things to look for when choosing a wood splitter to use with your tractor include cycle time, horsepower and type of operation. For heavy use, commercial grade PTO wood splitters are best, because they have shorter cycle times, allowing users to split wood faster. They also have higher splitting forces, allowing you to split larger logs faster; models with both horizontal and vertical positioning allow for more versatility and ease of use. One popular type of wood splitters that operates on PTO shafts is the Iron and Oak TMVH02, PTO vertical/horizontal tractor log splitter.

Most splitters will require a 3 point hitch to be hauled and should have around 16 tons of force applied by the splitter its self.

I did not think a log splitters would be worth the money when i first started hauling wood for my home, I had a maul and a splitter and was in good shape. After a few summers of it taking all summer long every week end to get my twelve cords of wood I got to see one in action, it was a Honda vh0622 that cost around 1.7k wow it is a real time saver.

It will split a log in a few seconds that would take me a minuet to split by hand. It saves you allot of energy, you are not spending yourself swinging that maul your feeding the splitter and stacking the wood. After seeing how quickly it worked and how much it saves your back strain, I got one for my pto pump. Now with my log splitter I can get all the cords of wood I need in a few weekends and sell the rest of the wood I get to pay for my fuel and time. With the wood I was able to sell I paid for the splitter in two summers.
